FESTIVAL TOTALLY SOLD IN GERMANY - LAST FEW PLACES AVAILABLE WITH OURSELVES!!

Still the biggest Festival in Germany and still the one that has the most varied bill of any Festival in mainland Europe. Rock Am Ring still sets the standards that others aspire to achieve!

As with previous years and having listened to feedback from clients  we have arranged our options accordingly – We will be running the  5 day / 4 night coach option this year. The obvious benefit of this option means less rushing to get to Germany in time for the start of the Festival – certainly if you’re thinking of camping then this is without doubt the best option. We will have you on the campsites by Thursday evening so that you have time to pitch your tent before the Festival starts on the Friday afternoon.

Over the past 3 years it would also seem that the 4 night coach option has proved more popular with Hotel clients as well. The expense of an extra nights hotel is more than compensated by the fact that you arrive in Alternahr for Thursday evening and you’ll have time to enjoy a good nights sleep/drink/meal (delete as appropriate!) before the Festival starts on the Friday.

We’re also considering the people that would like to make their own way to Germany – we have options on hotel / ticket and transfer packages to the event and as always, if you need help on booking flights please feel free to call us on 01733 571616.

Our hotels – We stay in the village of Alternahr – this is the last major village before the Nurbergring Racetrack. It is about 17 miles away from the track and the shuttle service each day to and from the track takes 45-55 minutes.

It is also the last stop on the railway line from Cologne so for clients wishing to make their own way to Germany its convenient to actually get to and stay for the weekend!. We have used the same hotels for the past 10 years , they are all guest house standard with private en-suite facilities as standard. Continental breakfast is included in price.

Our coaches are executive standard with toilets/wash room on board and hot-cold drinks normally available onboard. Please note that we operate a total non-smoking policy onboard coaches and alcohol is not permitted to be consumed whilst travelling on coach.

About us – International Concert Travel operates a Trust Account for holding clients holiday monies with Barclays Bank, Church Street Peterborough. All monies paid by clients are held in this account until completion of the concert trip and all passengers are back in the UK – as per EEC Directive on European Package Holidays.

5 DAY / 4 NIGHT COACH TRIP

Camping and Hotel options

Day 1 Thurs  5th June – Depart from the points shown on the departure page in the early hours of  5th June (nb Some Northern points may be late evening on the 4th June). London, for example will be 7am on the 5rh June. We drive down to Dover for the ferry crossing to Calais and onwards to Alternahr for late afternoon.

For those of you electing the camping option we’ll take you down to the Festival campsite – where we drop you off is where we'll pick you up on the morning of the 9th June. The evening of 5th June is free.

Day 2  Fri 6th June – Free morning before we transfer across for the start of the Rock Am Ring Festival. Transferring back after the main stage closes down.

Day 3  Sat 7th June – Free morning before we transfer across for day 2 of the Rock Am Ring Festival. Transferring back after the main stage closes down.

Day 4 Sun 8th June – Free morning before we transfer across for day 3 of the Rock Am Ring Festival. Transferring back after the main stage closes down.

Day 5 Mon 9th June –leaving the campsite & hotel after breakfast & returning to Calais & back to the UK for early evening onwards. Departures to Northern points will be late Monday evening/early hours Tuesday morning.

Hotel & Ticket packages

With a number of budget airlines springing up all over the UK then it has never been easier to fly to Germany BUT please bear in mind that the Nurburgring is not close to any major City! (Cologne is 47 miles away.)

We stay in Alternahr because it is the last stop on the train line from Cologne (about an hours ride). Our hotels are within walking distance of the railway station at Alternhar.

The closest airport to Alternahr is Cologne / Bonn but it also feasible from Frankfurt, Dusseldorf or Ryanairs Nederhiem airport as well.

INSURANCE – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

Although we do not believe in making clients take our insurance as mandatory we advise your consideration on some form of cover whenever you travel abroad. You should consider insuring yourself against irretrievable expenses incurred due to the cancellation of a concert by the artiste due to illness / your cancellation of trip due to personnel illness / theft of personnel belonging / accidents resulting in medical expenses etc etc.

We offer a policy that covers the above and will refund 100% of monies paid in the event of complete festival cancellation due to artiste illness prior to scheduled departure and upto 50% afterwards.

Please note Concert Cancellation Insurance DOES NOT apply to a single artiste cancelling their appearance at the Festival.

Our policy is priced at £19.50 per person. Please note we CANNOT take any responsibility for any expenses incurred that would have been covered by relevant insurance policy. Our policy is price at £19.50 per person and MUST be taken out no later than 6 weeks prior to concert  departure date.
